Ethical Standards (Mandatory): Ethics & Professional Responsibility
Practical guidance for the day-to-day realities of migration practice
Ethics for a Registered Migration Agent is not an abstract value statement; it is a set of enforceable legal obligations that sit behind every file you open. This workshop focuses on ethical standards and ethical decision-making — honesty and candour, competence and diligence, conflicts, confidentiality, fair and disclosed fees, and record-keeping — through six practical scenarios drawn from practice, each mapped to the relevant sections of the Migration (Migration Agents Code of Conduct) Regulations 2021. Participants leave with a simple, repeatable framework for ethical decision-making and a clear understanding of what OMARA expects in record-keeping, complaints handling and client communication.
This workshop is designed for the mandatory ethical standards topic.
